Mr. Devlin is the school's music teacher in Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred.
History[]
Jake Devlin was born to a war veteran father and an unnamed mother. When Jake was 10 years old, his father enlisted in the Korean War, causing his family to be stationed in South Korea. Jake was raised by mother after she divorced his father. After coming back to America, he began taking piano lessons at school.
For the majority of Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred, Fred believed that Mr. Devlin is a vampire due to his mannerisms and his style of clothing, as he would often dress in dark clothing and carry an umbrella in broad daylight.
Later in the film Mr. Devlin invites Fred to a dinner party. Fred decided to stream his experience. He snoops around Devlin's house, convinced Mr. Devlin has kidnapped and killed people. The experience is framed to be horrifying for Fred and the viewers. The stream cuts out and ends on a still of Mr. Devlin dressed in garbs, armed with a sword.
Once Fred talks with Mr. Devlin over dinner, he realizes he is a normal person. However, due to the stream and its circumstances, Fred has convinced most of the students at school that Devlin was an actual vampire, ostracizing him as a result. This prompted Fred to try and clear his name, though Devlin did not seem to upset with Fred over this result.
At the end of the movie, Mr. Devlin goes on a date with Fred's mom. When he leaves, he is not reflected by the mirror, implying that he may be a vampire after all.
